Hello, if you cant tell by now my name is Tom Maton and I am a web developer/designer from Essex in the UK (and no I am not a chav no matter what people say about Essex lads).

As this is the about me section I guess I better tell you a few things about myself.

To be truthful I haven't always been into computers or web design, my main aim was to play professional football just like every other kids dream, but due to too many injuries I decided to concectrate on other areas for a career. I went to college (Havering Sixth Form College) in Essex and studied computers, this was primarly talking in binary code and writing in very early versions of VB which to me I thought was just 01100011011100100110000101110000

Anyway a couple of years past and I found myself in a boring admin role so decided to do something about it, I enrolled myself into night school studying an e-commerce Degree for 4 years part-time whilst working full-time still at the boring dead end job (CRAZY I know!!!).

After passing the degree I managed to land myself a job as a junior developer in a local company which really gave me the chance to develop my skills that I learnt from the course and also to learn new ones. From this job (which I am still working at today) I had learnt so much but wanted to learn more so decided to self teach myself XHTML, W3C standards, advanced CCS and DOM which I have been for the past 2 years and still learning every day and from these new skills I have developed a couple of sites to put my new found skills into commercial practice (take a look).

So thats really all from me regarding how I got to where I am today. So if you want to know things like my star sign, most embarrasing moment, what I like to do when I am not working then I am afraid your out of luck, SORRY!
